Child Safety I.D. Program

In this campaign, specially selected representatives, who have received training supervised by D.A.R.E., will be conducting a safety event for your community.

As part of the Child Safety I.D. Program representatives will offer D.A.R.E. Medical Emergency ID all-FREE of charge. During these events products including D.A.R.E. t-shirts, ID cards, DNA kits, safety videos and other child-oriented products, will be displayed and available for purchase.  Each product purchased will help insure the funding necessary for D.A.R.E. to fulfill its mission of providing high quality curricula, training, classroom materials, and support for local D.A.R.E. programs..

This campaign may be conducted at various venues within your community, such as grocery stores, K-Marts and Wal-Marts between the hours of 10:30 AM- 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday. For this event to be held permission is obtained from the concerned property manager and required permits are secured.  We are not asking your department for any assistance, but wanted you to be aware of the program.

This campaign is a great way to introduce and remind children about safety information. If children are made familiar with these techniques through reminders and role-playing with parents, they are less likely to find themselves in dangerous situations. We hope that no child or family ever has to use the emergency/medical D.A.R.E. ID card.

These programs don't solicit for contribution; what is offered are high quality goods at deeply discounted prices with a portion of the profit donated to D.A.R.E. America.

Enjoy The City Coupon Book

Enjoy the City Coupon Book may be purchased by the public and contains special-value coupons for highly desired goods and services from local merchants.

These direct marketers will donate 50¢ to D.A.R.E. America from the sale price of each coupon book.

Child Safety’s Toy Program

The D.A.R.E. Child Safety Program will be donating toys to local D.A.R.E. programs throughout the country.  D.A.R.E. Instructors receiving these donated toys can then distribute them to deserving children in their community.

With recent reports of more than 13 million children currently living below the federal poverty level in the United States, D.A.R.E. is pleased that the Child Safety Program is providing an opportunity to provide gifts to children that may otherwise receive none. The Child Safety’s Toy Program has already begun in several communities and D.A.R.E. Instructors have been raving about the quality and quantity of toys being donated.

With permission from and in cooperation with merchants, local business establishments serve as venues for D.A.R.E. Child Safety Program events.  During D.A.R.E. Child Safety Program events, families are provided with a free safety kit and educational materials to assist in keeping their children safe. 

At these events specially selected products, including some with the D.A.R.E. logo are displayed and available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the products is contributed to D.A.R.E. America to help fund D.A.R.E. initiatives nationally.

Throughout the Child Safety’s Toy Program, citizens will also have the opportunity to purchase a toy to be donated to the local D.A.R.E. program. The toys are of the highest quality and attractively displayed. A number of Child Safety’s Toy Program events have been conducted and all were extremely successful.  

Wax Program

The D.A.R.E. Child Safety program is introducing a high quality automotive exterior finish product that incorporates the latest in automotive care technology. This product will give an extraordinary shine and provide durable protection for the finish of almost any vehicle.

How can you make money for your D.A.R.E. program? Each time you secure a location for a week so the wax can be demonstrated and sold, your D.A.R.E. program will receive the donation generated during one day’s sale of the wax.

Experience has shown the donation to be $75-$100 per location. Per location? That’s right, you’re not limited to securing only one location. What locations might you consider securing for wax demonstration and sales? Gas stations, truck stops, your booth at the county fair, the Kevaworks carnival your planning, any where with a lot of vehicle traffic. Consider the possibilities –

• One, two, three or more locations in operation simultaneously

• Locations schedules throughout the year

 The proceeds going to D.A.R.E. are the result of a citizen’s purchase of a high quality product.  The public is not being asked to make a donation to D.A.R.E., so this program will not interfere with other fund development projects you may have in place.  People buy the wax not only because it is offered at a bargain price, but also because it exceeds the demands of the most ardent car enthusiast.
