California Deputy Sheriff and D.A.R.E. Officer “Executed”
Deputy Sheriff Dennis Wallace had special relationship with young people teaching D.A.R.E
The D.A.R.E. Family mourns the tragic and horrific death of Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriff Dennis Wallace who was murdered “execution style” on Sunday morning, November 13th.
Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson statement expresses the emotions we all feel…
“Once again our law enforcement family is devastated by yet another murder of a peace officer here in the state of California. Unfortunately, we do this far too often here in California and nationwide. You have to ask yourself the question, “Where does it stop, and where does it end?” These are men and women who put their lives on the line every day, to stand between good and evil to protect our communities, and once again we’ve lost a member of our family. Deputy Dennis Wallace, a 20-year veteran of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office was murdered at the Fox Grove Fishing Access.
Dennis is well known in the organization for things like the D.A.R.E. program. Working in our early intervention prevention and education program, Dennis had a very special relationship with young people and a special place in our hearts at the sheriff’s office.”
Dennis was 53 years old. He leaves behind a wife and family, and they are all together at the hospital with our family right now, grieving this tragic loss.
David Machado, the man who executed Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Wallace, has been captured after a large manhunt that lasted several hours.
