Kelly Kuder
Regional Manager for D.A.R.E. Dance in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area & Development Projects
Kelly A. Kuder has enjoyed her career as a dancer and dance instructor for many years. She loves teaching modern, ballet and jazz to all ages and levels. Her love for dance education brought her to the Washington, DC area where she earned her Masters of Dance from American University.
Kelly began dancing at the age of three with the Syracuse Ballet Theatre. She trained extensively in Ballet, Modern and & Jazz dance on scholarship at various dance studios such as the American Ballet Theatre, The School of American Ballet, The Hartford Ballet, The Syracuse Ballet Theatre, Joe Tremain’s Dance Studio in Los Angeles, and The Academy of the Performing Arts in San Diego, CA. She’s had the pleasure of training with internationally known instructors such as Peter Martins, Patricia McBride and Helgi Thomson during her time at the New York City Ballets Summer performing arts program in Saratoga Springs.
Kelly’s training, love and passion for dance contributed to her many years of performing with dance companies such as City Dance Ensemble, Jazz Dance. dc, Tony Powell Music and Movement and in venues such as SPAC in Saratoga Springs with the New York City Ballet as well as at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. In addition to her teaching and performing, Kelly continues to enjoy her work with the D.A.R.E. Dance Program as both Regional Manager and Project Consultant working to bring free dance classes to public schools in cities nationwide.
Kelly also enjoys activities such as yoga, flying on the Lyra, biking, hiking and skiing! She’s earned her 200-hour yoga certification and A.C.E. certification and now teaches yoga to all as well. Kelly enjoys her active lifestyle and diverse profession filled with dance, yoga, teaching, outreach and management. Working for such a wonderful non-profit organization such as D.A.R.E. America is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding jobs she could have ever imagined having. Kelly is also the Co- Founder of the Zachary Robert Kuder Endowment.
