D.A.R.E. Car Show raises over $37,000

Following the 25th annual D.A.R.E. Car Show held on Aug. 21 of this year, Major Jeff Mills of the Edwardsville Police Department approached the Edwardsville City Council during Tuesday night’s meeting to announce the grand total of proceeds raised. Mills said each year the EPD aims to collect more funds and donations, and this year was the most successful car show yet. An Illinois family got an early delivery this weekend, thanks to some quick thinking from a local police officer. Trenton, Illinois, Officer Ryan Weh had just started his shift early Saturday morning when he heard the radio crackle.
