Kingdom of Bahrain honors new CEO of DARE

Manama, Bahrain: July 25 — (BNA)– On behalf of the Chairman of the Anti-Violence, Anti-Narcotics Committee, H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Director of “To” Program, Mr. Ali Ahmed Amini, presented a memorial gift to the new CEO of D.A.R.E., Mr. Francisco “Frank” X. Pegueros, on the occasion of the latter’s appointment in his new position.

On November 14, 2012 the Board of Directors’ named Francisco “Frank” X. Pegueros as the successor to Mr. Parsons.

Mr. Pegueros’ association with D.A.R.E. began in 1984 while serving with the Los Angeles Police Department. Mr. Pegueros joined D.A.R.E. America in 1997 and most presently holds the position of Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer.

Mr. Pegueros visited the Kingdom of Bahrain’s allocated platform at the Show associated with the Organization’s – (D.A.R.E’s) – 26th International Conference and reviewed with the head of Bahrain’s delegation the vision and objectives of “Together” Program, work plan and functions organized in the Kingdom in combating violence and narcotics’ addiction. He praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts and role in spreading awareness and seeking to develop effective means capable of applying the “Together” Program and hosting constructive events in the Kingdom.

The director of Together Program honored a number of instructors of D.A.R.E and presented them with memorial gifts commending their efforts in training and qualifying Community Police in the Kingdom as program executive directors.
