Pike County Sheriff Phil Bueki honored at his last D.A.R.E. graduation

Pike County Sheriff Phil Bueki was honored at Delaware Valley High School on Tuesday [May 31, 2016] at his last D.A.R.E. graduation. He served 30 years of service as a Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) officer.

D.A.R.E. is a school-based drug-prevention and education program for fifth graders and older children that is funded privately but is supported by the county and school district in other ways.

County row officers, legislators, DDV Superintendent John Bell, teachers, and others recognized Bueki for his outstanding commitment to the program. His program was modeled by other programs across the state and in other areas of the nation. Pennsylvania State representatives Mike Paler and Rosemary Brown presented Bueki with recognitions from the state legislature.
